Hephaestus, god of blacksmithing and blacksmith to the gods (not necessarily the same thing!) is another interesting inclusion in the Prometheus myth.
Hephaestus was thrown off Olympus and crippled (or crippled and thrown off Olympus) for being lame. (I now realise I missed a great gag about him being too lame for Olympus). In this version, he also has an eyepatch and a lisp, basically to accentuate this. I also wanted to draw a comparison with the 'Igor' trope from modern fiction, which Hephaestus very much fits - he is deformed, but allowed to return to Olympus because he's very good at what he does - which, in this case, is Zeus' dirty work.
Hephaestus has some parallels with Prometheus too - Both are associated with knowledge, craftsmanship, creation and technology, both challenge the authority of Zeus, and are then punished by him (Hephaestus multiple times, most recently for standing up for Hera) and eventually forgiven for Zeus' own purposes (in Prometheus' case, Heracles' rescue, which wins Heracles - Zeus' son - eternal glory.)
